| Yes this was a sad book at least Rose was able to step up and save them except for Mason which must have been hard on Rose. | |

| Rose should feel guilty. If she'd mentioned what she knew to one single Guardian, the band of vigalantes would have been picked up at the mall and returned to the ski lodge w/ a cup of cocoa. But she confounded her mistake with more mistakes and got them caught. Mason broke his vows and valued Rose over the Moroi he was to protect and came back. If he hadn't, he wouldn't have died. And who knows if Rose could have still taken out Helena (but probably not Isaiah). So either Mason or Rose would've died...but either death could have been avoided if the Guardians were alerted to the plan. | |

| I cried more about how Rose reacted right after Mason died. Not so much when he died..I was in shock, though.
But the reason Rose went after them herself[well..along with Christian] was so they wouldn't get into trouble when they got back[please correct me if I'm wrong. I've read a couple more books since Frostbite, so I'm not completely sure.]. I'm pretty sure she does feel guilty, though. Mason died because of her mistakes, and I think she realizes that.

| Yeah. Rose felt bad that Dmitri had trusted her with knowledge b/c she was more mature than the rest and she blabbed it right away in a weird way to get back at Dmitri entertaining Tasha's offer. Then she felt ashamed that Mason had run off to Spokane b/c of how she had lead him on and then pushed him away. So she was wearing two guilt trips and opted to try and fix it all herself. | |

| I hafta disagree with ya, Jedi. If she would have told the Guardians the whereabouts of Mason, Mia, and Eddie... then, it would be a pretty boring turn out. And not very rose like, is ya ask me. Rose always wants to fix her own mistakes, and I find that really heroine like. How is she supposed to grow as a character, or, rather a person, if she didn't make mistakes?
Mason's death was purely on Mason. If he was to just listen to Rose, and not let his feelings get in the way of that, his life would have be spared. And to be honest, I think Rose would have been just fine. I think Mia still would have come back to bust the fishtank, regardless of Mason coming back or not. Mia was hellbent on proving to herself that water had its uses, and thus, I think she still would have been partly the one to save the day.
Besides. We all know Rose Hathaway, she doesn't do what she's told so either way, she would have ended up going after the Guardians she told, anywho. xD; AND, now that I think about it, the things she learned on the wall with the Moroi order wouldn't have been prevented either.

| I agree. Rose running to tell a Guardian about Mason et al running to Spokane on a half-cocked Strigoi hunt would just be out of character. She's fiery, hot-headed, jumps without looking...telling "teacher" would be lame. And like xMissBat says, it would have been boring, to boot. | |

Oh my goodness when Mason died I was like OMG did that just happen but then Rose got all phsyco- crazy on Isaiha (did i spell that right) and Elena...and killed tem b/c she was trying to protecet Maon which didn't make sense to me at all... I mean I know she was in shock and all but seriously shouldn't her mind have registered the fact that Mase couldn't be protected anymore b/c he was dead??...

| I cry really easily so I guess it's expected that I thought the ending was really sad. But it just happened way too fast. I had to reread the ending just to understand. I do agree that Frostbite hit me really hard. It was good. | |

I think Rose was hell-bent on sending Isaiah and Elena one-way tickets straight to the lowest levels of the worst hells known to humankind, if that helps, after witnessing Mason's death...now if only Rose was capable of lifting the entire sky by herself for a few days or more, then we'd be good. What was the most surprising, during the death, was really when Rose suddenly...got pushed overboard, suddenly ended up showing kombat kapabilities on par with that of Olympian Demi-Gods, and ripped the throats of Elena and Isahiah, if not inflict worse forms of death upon them than that, really.I guess we should be grateful that Rose, at least, had more spine than Bella Swan had, during the twilight sequels, but on the other hand, Rose still shot herself in the foot by not being properly prepared for any of that, that it reduces the epicness of her having a real spine, really.

I think Rose should feel guilty about many things but not the death of Manson. It was his own actions again and again. He decided to take the knowledge Rose gave him. he decided to leave. he decided to go hunting. He even decided to go go back and try to save Rose. He is accountable for his own actions. I think The only guilt Rose should feel is for betraying Dimitri's trust and blabbing. True she could of spoke to a guardian but she figured she could catch the others in time and avoid getting them in trouble. In fact, they all were walking back to the bus to get home when they were caught. Personally, i would of done the same. Try to reach my friends first. Call a guardian second. I just dont blame rose for the death of Manson.
