| I still havent decided what to do for halloween. I'm trying to find a balance between my friends and their wanting to party and my wanting to stay in and watch movies.
To the whole movie discussion. I love zombie movies. I love guts and gore movies. I love creepy movies. But i cant think of any movies that actually scare me. All the ones u guys listed havent scared me. Sure some parts made me cringe or jump but not scared. I want to see a real scary movie where i'm scared to get off the bed afterwords. That would be a perfect ending to halloween night.

| I realized that the Moroi Vampires and their kindred are essentially homages to the ancient descendants of the first Perseus[the Demi-God son of the Olympian Sky God!] whether Mead meant for them to be, or not! | |

I think Richelle meant for them to be Vampires...as in, Vampire Vampires. Not gods

I think Richelle meant for them to be Vampires...as in, Vampire Vampires. Not gods I didn't say she meant for the Moroi and their kindred to be gods, i am saying they are behaving all too much like the Ancient Greeks, for the most part, minus the part that most Greeks wouldn't drink blood, and apparently their Dhampir guardians are stuck in the lines between people along the lines of the Spartans, the other members of the Peloponisian[if that's how its spelt] League, and the Macedonians, on one side of the line, and outright Olympian Demi-Gods who aren't Zeus', Poseidon's, or Hades' own half-mortal sons and daughters...too bad apparently only Rose and her mum appeared to be descended from such humans who are descended from such Demi-Gods, because if it weren not so and it wasn't just them, the Guardians would be ripping out Strigoi Throats more than the other way around!Did i forget to add that the first Olympian Demi-Gods are Eastern European, too?

| Ok that doesn't even have anything to do with Halloween. Tony!!! Stop getting off topic!!! If you want to talk about Spartans and demi gods, make a thread for it. | |

| I don't see it as lucky. I'm pretty much against halloween as a holiday. But I guess everyone has their own views. | |

| Seriously, what can be better than dressing up as something spooky and going out and getting free candy? I get that there are *scary stories* about people getting candy with razorblades or poison in them. But I've been trick 'r treating my whole life. Never once came across deadly candy. Aussie's are missing out!! I'm tellin ya. | |

| We have no reason to celebrate Halloween. There's no basis to it as a tradition, no celtic Samhain history, All Hallows Eve, Day of the Dead...none of that holds any real meaning (especially considering Southern Hemisphere days like that, where barriers are thing/ special, supernatural & magical days don't actually align with Northern Hemisphere days) | |

| I celebrate moreso for the Samhain aspect.. not the Halloween trick or treating part. I love the intention... dressing up and go all out and friendly encounters. It goes with my happy go lucky spirit and my peace and love attitude wishing everyone just got along... which is my xmas is one of fav holidays-tis the season to be jolly!
but now a days it's just a who can dress sluttier contest and a conspiracy for the candy companies. That's why i'm having difficulty deciding what to do today. Not in the mood to deal with drunken teens at the parade nor the gang initiations that take place... plus if i get hit by an egg i'm so kicking someones ass. I'm tempted to just stay home and avoid it all. But, it's also my friend's birthday.

| Oh yeah halloween is amazing...I especially love the part where people broke into 2 of my family's cars, stole my neighbour's car and crashed in beyond repair. (ok, so halloweeners might not have been at fault, but there's a higher chance someone "trick or treating" did it) | |

Sorry to hear that! Hope none of your family was hurt! I stayed home for Halloween. My cousin was arrested the night before and wasnt in the partying mood. Hardly had trick or treaters. I watched all four Halloween town ( Disney ) movies and ate alot of chocolate. I did manage to see Paranormal Activity though. I laughed a few times.. a couple eye rolls. I think i only jumped once. I'm very superstitious and believe in that sort of stuff so i expected to be terrified but i just wasnt. I was highly disappointed.
