| I don't celebrate Halloween. It's not very big over here anyway. It's become more popular but most of the people I know still think it's just an American tradition...the whole taking-candy-from-strangers thing isn't exactly the best message to be sending to people (at least that's what I think). | |

LOL Hilarious statement, no matter how true. I'm gonna go trick 'r treating this year with my little sister. Even though I'm 22... What can I say? Free candy!!! Heh, and I can still get away with it. I'm going as the Scream dude this year.

My mum tends to yell at kids who come trick-or-treating at us. She's all "You don't know me, you have no idea what I could have done to any of these lollies, so go away. Come back on Anzac Day (aussie holiday) and I'll give you an Anzac Biscuit" and then she shuts the door - Quote :

I'm not sure being Princes would be all that cool for girls Tony.

| There's modern-day Demigoddesses, if 'The Lightning Thief' ends up a massive hit and an actually good movie, as well, that doesn't cut too much stuff out! | |

| I don't think I'll be doing anything dress up wise for Halloween. I don't know if my workplace does the dress up thing. Last year (at a different job) we did. I dressed as a sailor. I had a real US Navy top that I bought years ago at a vintage shop. Then I got white pants and the hat from a military surplus store and then I got some material to fashion a tie. The workplace loved it. When I went to my dance school's party, there was another person there dressed as a sailor, too...and then another guy dressed as a captain. (likely a cruise ship captain, but still.) It was disappointing. Previous to that, I dressed one year as a "Corpse Bride". With THAT costume, I won best female costume! It was a pre-packaged costume, and I did the makeup and it worked really well! | |

I absolutely love the Corpse Bride! I would of loved to see that costume! I'm not sure how to celebrate this year. I live in New York so usually go to the parade. But it's overrated, overcrowded and crime infested. It lost it's fun years ago. I'm so not in the mood to fight through crowds of drunk people to get around in Manhattan. Every year i dress up as a hippie. What's funny about that i usually just wear my normal clothes- but can go extreme with the peace accessories. This year though, the peace symbol has been a big trend so I don't think I will be doing that. I even try not to wear my peace symbol stuff at all anymore. I can't wait for that trend to die so i can break out my peace and love clothing. I might just stay home with candy and my boyfriend and have a horror movie marathon.

That actually sounds all kinds of awesome. I wish my friends loved Miyazaki movies as much as I do. Now I think I will be watching Spirited Away on Halloween night, followed by Shaun of the Dead. - RandD4ever wrote:

Yeah, I know most people go with their parents and have a safe sort of area they visit, but the idea itself isn't exactly well thought-out. - RandD4ever wrote:

I can just barely stand that movie. I've seen it a couple times. I get really annoyed whenever I see that Corey Haim kid come on screen. lol And I can't take the movie seriously because Jack Bauer is in it. My favorite scary movies are mostly incredibly gory. I love blood and dismembered bodies. I think some of the best scary movies are Dawn of the Dead (remake), 28 Weeks Later, The Hills Have Eyes (remake; the original is really lame), The Descent... I also like [Rec]/Quarantine. Jeepers Creepers is a pretty good thriller movie too. lol The first couple minutes of Scream still give me goosebumps.

I will NEVER watch that movie, lol. The scariest movie I've ever seen was the Amytiville Horror, in 7th grade. For some stupid/reatrded reason my friends parents allowed us to watch that movie. I had nightmares for months.

| After seeing The Grudge and Dawn of the Dead, nothing really scares me anymore. Well... I *was* a bit freaked after seeing [Rec]/Quarantine. I think [Rec] was scarier than Quarantine though because it was in Spanish. Hehe. And I watched it in the middle of the night. Also, the ending of [Rec], while still pretty much the same as Quarantine, was still a bit different. You know... the Spaniards have actually made a [Rec] 2. I wonder if that means there will be a Quarantine 2? Hope so. | |
