Well I like him too. I think his cocky and thats kind of cute But I love me some Dimka. How come guys like that not exist I mean besides the whole fighting Vampire thing

I have a feeling the girl is Lissa and I hope it is because I'm really sick of Rose and her puppy love. It's getting annoying and it takes from the book.

The whole series so far has been about Rose's "puppy love" with Dimitri. And from here on out, it's all going to be about the fairytale and Rose getting her happy ending.

Some of it has, I really just skim over those pages, I'd rather read about Lissa and the other people than Rose and her twisted love with Dimitri.
They really are past the point of sickening. I'd rather see Dimitri get killed or something. That or Rose needs to convert , easy as that.

It's puppy love, Rose is just a teenager and he's an older man. It's called Statutory rape in the real world. Anyways, I think that this little love thing that have going on is getting old. WE get it they had sex and had a little romance, let it go. I'd rather see them move on and work on being friends. I think that Rose is acting a little childish by putting her life and those around her at risk for Dimitri, the same person that won't hesitate to kill her or anyone else if need be. Hell the man wanted to convert her and would use force to do it!

As I said, I think the cover might be him and Lissa or maybe it's Christian and Lissa.

LOL Be mad! I don't know like that sweetie. I don't have to like Dimitri and Rose. Everyone in the United States could love them and If I don't, I won't water it down for the sake of their little hearts!

Actually Rose is pretty much legal. She's 17 and in most places in the world (Montana included), 17 is the legal age of consent.

Btw, is there anything you actually like about this series? You seem to only post about how characters need to die.

she's not 17... she turns 18 in the thrid book.... Shadow Kiss.

iI'm a New Yorker, a 17 year old having a relationships with a man over the age of 22 is not okay. Even over the age of 20 is not okay. As I said before it's called Statutory rape. Anyways, Dimitri should find someone his own rather than having crushes on little school girls. The Teacher-student relationships are never good.

In Sprit bound, she was with Dimitri way before that.

In the sort of relationship they have going on, it's be a bit hard to just decide to stop seeing each other. They LOVE each other, it's not like it's a matter of convience, as though they didn't have anyone else so decided to fall for the teacher/student respectively. Dimitri fought it, hell even Rose fought it (though not as strongly) but they were pulled back together because they get each other. If you found someone who understood you, cared for you, was comfortable around you and you were comfortable around them, would you really question the age?
It only seems wrong because she's so young and he's this experienced man who's spends a lot of time with her. Raise their ages by a couple of years and suddenly it all becomes an "acceptable" romance.

Maybe it doesn't always work out that way for relationships with one partner being a fair bit younger than the other. But in this case there really isn't anything wrong with it.

I think there is really two issues here. Rose and Dimitri's relationship in the books- and the practice of underage dating in general.

I understand the disdain for the age difference in general. I am a New Yorker too and quite honestly and frankly - i see young girls and old men running around amok and it's disgusting. The student teacher things happens way to often and 98% of the time it's not love. Well the young people are naive and think it's love- but it's really just an infatuation. There is a difference. Even with a friend when i was in highschool- she was 16 dating a dude 28. I mean damn he was in middle school or high school when you were just born. Sometimes age is a BIG deal. By law, it is statutory rape- regardless of its consensual or not. But love- is more than just sex. It's a friendship first- or atleast supposed to be. There is nothing wrong with developing that friendship regardless of age.

However, with Rose and Dimitri, these are fictional characters in fictional books. It's not promoting young girls to date older guys or promoting student teacher relationships. It just adds to the allure of forbidden love. I dont find Rose and Dimitri's relationship wrong or unacceptable at all. It really was a bond- a deep rooted connection. I feel Rose is still immature- but compared to everyone else in the story and in the novel and the world created- she is more knowledgeable and experienced and really is older then her age.

Love is blind. And that's realistic. Sometimes age is really just a number. Love knows no boundaries. You can't stop yourself from falling in love or force yourself out of love. Even if you deny it, it will always be inside you and you will always have that heart ache. Dimitri and Rose CHOSE to be happy and not live a lie.

That's just my opinion and view on things.
