Well, yes. That's the flaw. But she's learning to control it and in the end, it may be a good thing. She already knows how to decide whether it's right to heal or to just let whatever die.

Still...it would be shocking if it turned out that she was really a Mary-Sue, though.

I do like Lissa
I think what happened between Rose and Lissa in SK was Rose took the "They come first" to the extreme. She knew she trusted Lissa with all her heart, yet she didnt say hey listen to me I have to talk, and being best friends, thats what she should have done.
I also believe that Lissa was starting to get into the role of what Royal Moroi do to their dhampirs and after BP I do not think she will take advantage of Rose's position again.

I think she really loves Rose as a sister. Guess what Sister's fight and do act selfishly, but they get over it and move on.

With all her problems from spirit it is very easy to look needy and then to become just that. They will find balance.

It's obvious the sooner she's ready to become Queen, the better off we will all be, in the long run, as her fellow Moroi lack alot of the kombat Ingenuity that was constantly shown within the Guardians Of Ga'Hoole novels and the Percy Jackson And The Olympians Novels, let alone the Pendragon Novels, for that matter!

I wonder what kind of Angel is Lissa supposed to be, who got trapped in a Full-Blooded Vampiress's body, really?

I still don't think she'd make a good queen. I don't think she'd make the right decisions overall.

Yeah i agree with Kim again. I don't think Lissa will make a good queen. I see her as more of a delegate... type person. I see her lobbying and promoting and campaigning and that kind of sorts. She's great at peace- keeping and compromising and convincing other people. But, i don't like she can handle being queen.

I do like Lissa as a character and i feel the whole rose-lissa friendship issue and even lissa and christian in BP was fundamental to her character. All of it made me love lissa even more. She's so loving and kind how can you not love her?

Exactly, I think she's got alright ideas and can push them well enough, but she can't rule

In BP she pissed me off more. I can see she was miss-guided any such, but I don't get why she kissed Aaron or why she didn't tell Christian. I know Avery wanted her to feel isolated in order to make it look like Lissa really wanted to do what Avery wanted her to do, but it still annoys me that Lissa fell for it all.

I just disagree, I think she would be a good ruler, she listens to others and that is a key to being a good leader, also she finds compromise again good key to being ruler, and I think if she would have Rose as her advisor, she and Rose would go a long way and turn the society around.

Rose is more of a doer than a thinker, she wouldn't be a good ruler either. Though she'd listen to Lissa ideas well enough.

Anyway, they're both too young to even consider ruling an entire community. Who would really want 18 yr olds to be in charge of everyone? Even if Lissa is the best person for the job (which I still don't think she is) there aren't that many people who'd allow someone so young to make life altering decisions.

yeah i totally agree. I love Lissa and all but it's like she can't think of anyone else but herself. She acts a little pathetic at times and she can't think for herself. She depends on other people for stuff and i feel that she isn't a very good best friend.

Rose does everything for Lissa and she worries about her all the time, when Lissa could make it all easier and admit that she still has problems instead or hiding them. She also proves that she's a little self obsessed because she didn't figure out that Rose and Dimitri had a thing for each other. Adrian figured it out and he's known Rose for what a few days?

I feel for Rose because she feels she can't share her problems with Lissa because she thinks that Lissa won't cope.

But as I said I love Lissa, she's kind, caring and sensitive. everyone has bad points.

^That's why Lissa is an Angel who got stuck in a full-blooded Vampiress's body, or why else would she make such errors in her life, constantly, other than that she has the Spirit Element?

I think Adrian had a little help though, he had the aura thing under control and could see mood/emotions, but I get what you're saying.

Co-ruler might work better, sort of like a parliament. I don't know who would suit that role, but I like how you've got a dhampir AND and moroi, that way both sides get a say in what happens.
