| If they were to make a movie out of the books it should be casted/directed by someone who love the books just like all the fans do. I don't know if that makes sense? | |

| Yes, that makes perfect sense. You can tell when someone just slaps stuff together in the name of making money vs. someone who has read the books and truly appreciated them. | |

| Do you think Zack Snyder had read the novels, himself? | |

To be honest, I don't really care if the director is a fan or not, just as long as she/he does justice to the books. I also want a really good screenwriter to write the script. Because without a good script, the movie won't be good, no matter how good the director is. Therefore, I think Zack Snyder should also write the script.

| Yeah that is very true. lol One would think the script couldn't go wrong... I mean, there are some really good lines in the book. You wouldn't have to try too hard... It'd be awesome if they involved Richelle on that part. Sometimes it happens. | |

| ^ Yeah, but a great book could easily be ruined with a bad screenwriter. For example, The Time Traveler's Wife. The book was good, but I heard the movie was horrible, and it didn't capture the book's great substance or whatever....
Vampire Academy is a great book, but without a good screenwriter and/or director, it won't make a good movie, imo.

| Yeah, I'm completely with you there. Screenplay is just as important as having a good director. More so probably. Though I really like Zack Snyder's directing style, I dunno if he'd write a good screenplay...? | |

^ He wrote the screenplay for 300, so yeah, I think he writes good screenplays...

| In any case, i wonder if the eye-candy would just continue on with more Lissa, as well as Rose, if they somehow got to Frost-Bite, to be honest. | |

| They should also be ready to excise at least 90% of the stupid off the novels, if they have to deal with the movies, as well, because our very Intelligence was insulted, when it turned out that Mia had sex with two guys, at the age of 15....it wouldn't be so bad, if she was at age 16..but that...was an act of pure stupidity, as if someone came to slap us with a wet fish. | |

| In my opinion if they do a movie they better have a big budget for it. Twilight had a pitful budget of a modest $37 million with no marquee stars, but it did wind up grossing more than $380 million at the box office. Even sold 3 million DVDs in one day in the US alone.
But as many of the posts that I have read through the movie sucked or wasn't good enough as was expected. Yaddah Yaddah Blah Blah.

It doesn't change that they need to have to make sure to excise as much of the stupid off the novels, for that matter, as much as i enjoy the novels, because there's a lot of stupid moments within the novels, like the incident with Mia's...Underage Whoring, anyone?

| Tony- that part with Mia was actually one of the parts i - uh for lack of a better word- enjoyed. It made my jaw drop and i think it was fundamental to building the character of Mia- otherwise her transformation later in the series wouldn't have been such a big deal....u know what i mean? | |

I know..but still..come on!!!!At least when Riordan had to show build-up for Clarisse La Rue's development[She's a daughter of Ares, the Olympian God Of War!] he showed Clarisse trying to beat up Percy during a Capture The Flag game, and always feeling the urges to pound Clarisse, instead of having Clarisse doing a case of Underage whoring!>_> Apparently it's different for Mia Rinaldi, as opposed for Clarisse, seeing as at least Clarisse has hope in pounding Percy in the earlier novels unless Percy gets wet, right?

Apparently it's different for Mia Rinaldi, as opposed for Clarisse, seeing as at least Clarisse has hope in pounding Percy in the earlier novels unless Percy gets wet, right? I'll take that as a 'Yes it's different,' for the lack of responses...seriously are the Moroi really supposed to be so grossly far behind, as opposed to either the Cirque Du Freak Vampires and the Modern-day Olympian Demi-Gods?They really have to make up for their weaknesses in the 1st few novels, because the lack of results of containment might have been fine in the 1st two novels, or even the 1st 3 novels, but we are beyond such excuses, so by now, outside Rose and Company, we should be seeing some talent and craft!!!
