Strigoi Ghosts.

I wasn't too sure where to put this, but I figured considering both occur here it probably fits best.

So I have a questions about Dimitri's situation and Rose seeing ghosts. I've sent it into Penguin Australia because they're having a Q&A with Richelle soon and are offering to ask people's questions, so I hope to have a RM answer soon. But I wanted to know what everyone else thought.


Strigoi are dead, the living dead. We all know that. We also know they no-longer have their souls, it’s why Ms. Karp chose to become Strigoi, because only with your soul could you still connect to the magic. Does that mean Dimitri’s soul is in the land of the dead? And if so, wouldn’t that mean Rose would be able to see it while she was searching for his Strigoi self? Or is his soul trapped in a sort of limbo situation until his body is destroyed? Or perhaps Strigoi-turned souls don’t go to the same place other souls go to?

That is deffinently a possibility. But when we go over things and mullel them over for so long we could come up with a way for them to still be together.... lol

but i like your thinking and wonder if that is how she is going to get to him and put him out of his fictional misory.

Yeah, It was just something that was turning over and over in my mind. On the one hand I'd love to get a definite answer from Richelle soon, but then that would mean my theory was incorrect Oh well, guess we'll all find out eventually.

What you wrote is really interesting and I do believe that it could be as you said, that he still has his soul somewhere and that is what can save him from being Strigoi. Maybe the soul has a connection with the coming title: Spirit Bound! Gaah, I really want it to be May 18th NOW!

SPiOLERS:Strigoi are stuck in a state between dead and living. Their souls are kinda just stuck their. "Dead don't like the undead." That's a quote from one of the VA books can't remember which one. :S. I think blood promise.....it is. in blood promise rose call the ghosts to attack the strigoi...yeahhh I guess his soul is kinda in limbo. But it's defenetly not with his body or in the land of the dead.
