The Percy Jackson And The Olympians Novels, By Rick Riordan

Hey..i actually never heard of this series.. can some one give me like a short brief book review about what the book is about?

Jill-Jillian, SwimmingGeek, would any of you ladies care to do the honors of the task, please?

The books are about Demi gods, and the Greek Gods, the Greek gods have babies with normal mortals. the demi gods go to this camp, Camp Half Blood and they train. They have quests that they go one and run into monsters. So Percy Jackson is the demi god we follow in the series. They have a total of 5 books, and he is the son of Poisedon(sp) anyway they have a prophecy of when a child of the Big Three, Zeus, Hades and Posiedon turns 16 they could destroy Mt Olympus, so throughout the books Kronos (Zeus, Hades and Posiedon father) is trying to get the demi gods to turn on the Gods. Throughout all five books Percy, and his friends have to save the world and eachother from Kronos.

Dimitri would kill Luke in a poll, however was Luke was a sexy one too,

^Yet i can handle all the kombat, hence the poll in the Chit Chat section with Clarisse La Rue against Mia Rinaldi, in which Clarisse ends up shocking Mia with her spear!^_^

What about having Luke when he's possessed against Strigoi-Dimitri?

i still think that Dimitri would kick his ass, cuz kronos has problems with lukes body

I still stand by with Clarisse over Mia, since Clarisse didn't go whorish when she wanted someone gone, in the 1st novel she was in!

See it would be so easy for dimitri like luke is having a battle inside himself, dimitri just rushes in and finishes him off

oh yeah clarisse would def take mia out!

Clarisse has a special gift Demi-Gods can only get if both their parents were to bless them, themselves, and i didn't recall Mia's mum blessing her, either before she died!

I wonder when did Clarisse managed to get the blessing, somehow?And how did it kick in, for her, though?Apparently it's unknown if it could be activated at will or not, like the Trans-Am System of Gundam 00, right?

I wonder if i best do a poll with Annabeth Chase against Either Rosemarie[Rose] or Vasilisa[Lissa] seeing as how Rose + Lissa read much like Annabeth, split in two?

As much as I love Annabeth I like Rose just a bit more.

and with Luke do you think Dimitri could find his point of death ?

I plan to watch the movie, Ivashkov, mainly to see if the movie is going to be epic win or fail, of course finding a movie series better than the Potter-World + Twilight movies, while also a more accurate representation of the novel series, would be a bonus, of course.

That said, i still feel that Rose and Lissa read much like Annabeth Chase, split in two, in some messed-up way or another[Angel Princess Lissa even looks somewhat like Annabeth Chase, for crying outloud, except Annabeth didn't have Green Eyes, she had Grey Eyes! ]

Let's just try to avoid any new spoilers on the series, alright, everyone?
That said, i wish this series had more pages, but at the very least, when the rest of the movies come out, at least they would have less problems in translating the series than the Potter-World + twilight movies would have, right?

I've read the first 4 books. I haven't gotten around to reading The Last Olympian yet but so far I really like this series. I've seen the full trailer for The lightning thief and it looks really good but it looks like they don't really follow too close to the book and idk how I feel about that. For 1 thing I'm a little irritated that the Annabeth doesn't look anything liek she is described in the books plus the whole"I definitely have strong feelings for you I just don't know if they are positive or negative yet" or whatever it is she says...idk but I'm really excited to see it anyway. I hope its better than it looks...

At any rate, on the upside, Annabeth and Lissa would look loads less alike, if they ever take on Vampire Academy, unless they get a Brunette to play Lissa, while getting another Brunette or a Redhead to Play Rose[only if she's Turkish-American, though!]

On the downside, now Annabeth looks like Rose's Scottish Side of her ethnicity, and i don't know how to describe the idea of it all.

Either way, Mandy and i managed to unleash....things that people shouldn't even imagine, yet, haven't we?

I've read all the books and I love them. I am also going to check out the movie the trailer looks pretty good.

I think you will be happy to know my brother ordered me the first 3 books of this series( among other books) for xmas. So, i shall be reading them in a few weeks.

I hope you would find mysticism straight not just from the ancient Olympian[Greek and Roman] Tales, but also from all 100 years of Grand Fantasy Tradition, remotely meaningful, then.

As for the 2nd-3rd pages of the thread, they never happened, alright?
