| If that was directed at me, no. I haven't even read the 2nd yet. I want more than anything to buy the entire series and read them instantly, but I have to read 17 books for uni this session so that's kind of taking up most of my time right now. Thankfully summer is just around the corner really and I'll be able to read them all then...I might plan to buy them earlier though I so don't have to wait around for them to arrive. | |

The second book is my least favorite, specifically because its the slowest/most boring book of the series. There's a lot of talking, and the mystery isn't as interesting as it was in the first book. Plus, it was a little predictable for me, but nevertheless, I still enjoyed it. Hopefully you'll enjoy it too.  Did you already finish the first book? | |

Really? I whipped through those books really fast! I was gripped from the get-go. I liked the second book because of Sebastien. Spoiler from I'm not sure which book. Best not read at all if you're not done the books. IDK. - Spoiler:

Yeah, but at the end of the book, didn't he admit to Georgina that he didn't do it for her, he did it for himself? Since he liked her or something like that?
Still, I don't think it was right at all for him to do that. I mean, if you think about it, it was kinda like Georgina cheated on Seth. Which bothers me. I mean, Georgina can have sex with human men and everything since she needs it to survive, but she didn't need to have sex with Bastien. And she knew perfectly well that it wasn't Seth...so that really bothers me.

Yeah, I still don't really know how to feel about Georgina sleeping with Bastien. I don't think it was right, but I don't really think it was wrong either. All Georgina wants is Seth, so it was wrong on Bastien's part to do that to her. We already know Georgina is extremely weak when it comes to Seth, so I don't really blame her for sleeping with Bastien.
Does this make me a complete hypocrite now? lol I hate Seth for sleeping with Maddie, and yet I don't hate Georgina for sleeping with Bastien. But I'm sure as hell Maddie didn't look anything like Georgina in bed... not that that makes it alright. Like I said, I dunno what to think about it.

This is true, Georgie didn't need to sleep with Bastien. However I don't recall what Bastien's motivations were. It's been quite a while since I read the books. But I agree more with dimkaluv. I don't feel what she did was either right or wrong. If you're gonna pick on her for it, chalk it up to a moment of weakness. Bastien was in the form of Seth. She's clearly in love with Seth. She wants him but can't because she'd hurt him. Because I love Georgina I feel like I can forgive her all that stuff. But I can't really forgive Seth for what he did with Maddie. And I hate Maddie for it, too.

I dunno. For some reason it didn't feel as deliberate when Georgina slept with Bastien. She didn't exactly want to, but she gave into that temptation to have Seth, even though it wasn't exactly having him. However, Seth actually liked Maddie as something more than just a friend when he slept with her, and he also didn't think it was a mistake. I mean, he even went on to break up with Georgina for that fat cow and date her!!! So I don't really consider what he did with Maddie and what Georgina did with Bastien the same thing. It was more like a mistake than anything on Georgina's part. Weakness, like we said.

I think we're all agreed what Georgina did with Bastien was a mistake, a moment of weakness. She didn't go on to continue a romantic relationship with him. And I also agree that deep down Seth doesn't love Maddie and never will. I think when he told Georgina that he didn't have flings and was breaking it off with her, that he only said it to hurt her. And for hurting Georgie, he deserves a kick in the nads! Georgie didn't sleep with Bastien to hurt anyone.

| Has anyone else here read RM's short story "City of Demons" in the book Eternal Lover? I just did. It's cute. I wanted to smack Georgie and ask her why she's doing silly stuff. (I won't say what was silly because I don't want to spoil). I just will say that the story seems to take place before awful Maddie shows up. | |

| Or see if you can get it from the library. It would likely be listed under Hannah Howell (sp?). The story is only about 120 pages.
The story takes place either before SOT or between SOT and SD. | |
