| Yes there is 9 books. The 10th book is a compilation of side stories of the main character Sookie and the Sookie universe in general. The 11 book continuing the series comes out round may i believe. | |

| Yeah but the books are pretty short. Not like 300 -400 pages like VA. I think they average 200 hundred pages a book. Probably less. | |

| Yes, I'm a fan. Some spoilers, warning.
I read the books that were out at the time before the show started and watched the first episode with the other fans. I like and dislike things from both show and books, I wish I could mix and match them. I like the earlier books better than the later ones, which seem rushed to me. Eric is so much better in the books, but Bill is played perfectly by Stephen Moyer. I love Pam, Adele and Lafayette (both actors and book characters) but Godric in the show brought me to tears. I was shocked how attached I was to him in such a short time frame, Allan Hyde did a super job!! I loved, loved Godric! I was so pleased with the 'additions' they made with his character... I only wished they had kept him around as they did Lafayette, I think he would have made a much better longer term character than that Maenad (boring extended character to me). I have the true blood soft drinks that I haven't yet tried, still haven't watched the finale off the DVR (saving the drinks for the viewing) I keep putting watching it off to save it.. it's such a long wait in between seasons. Oh, love the theme song too... fits really well. | |

I love eric in the book- not so much in the show. I loveeeeee Godric. I cried. And the maenad thing just pissed me off in the show. I didnt understand why they dragged it out like that. In the book it was over and done with with just timing.
