JK Rowling Announcement

Omg I know!! It was really lame. All that fuss over a website. And then the damn thing isn't even available until OCTOBER.

But whatever, I still submitted my email because I know I'll want to check it out. Still think it's really lame that they made this big a deal over what essentially is... nothing. Unless you count the stop-motion announcement video as something. It was cool, but not what I pictured waiting in earnest excitement for a week for.

Exactly...we, and I'm sure thousands of other fans, sat around waiting for this super special announcement and it was pretty much nothing.

I haven't put my email in yet. There's still time to do it later.

I was really disappointed....and that's not fun

It wasnt a big deal for me , cause i was anticipating something different. Not just digital animations while reading a ebook with a few new additional scenes. I would of been happier with a short novella with the additional scenes. WHile the idea is cool and all, to reach a new generation with the digital book with animations , i just dont like it at all. I read to create my own pictures and animations in my mind. If i wanted it created for me, i would watch the movies

Tasha, sometimes when I'm reading I get so into a book that I start to think that the book is the real world and that the real world is a dream!!

How does one know the difference between the dream world, and the 'real' world?

So the site won't trigger until after summer, right?

Just thought I'd let you guys know... they are now doing registrations over at Pottermore for early access to the site (otherwise you'll have to wait until October). But you have to be QUICK because there's limited spaces each day and you have to find the quill to be able to register. It can be tricky.

You should try to register. You just have to catch it when they're taking new members. I randomly caught it this morning by chance. lol I was in another forum and saw a post about it and decided to try registering.

lol, I could have done it on the first day. I was online, saw the clue, worked out the answer...and couldn't be bothered typing it in. I love Harry Potter, lots and lots...but I just don't have the desperate desire to join up early and help shape the site. I feel like I'd be taking up a spot for someone who really wants to join.

Lol, that's nice of you Kim, thinking of others that really want to be involved. I dont particularly want to be involved and join but i want to join cause i feel left out, like i'm missing something. Lol.

I think it's totally cool that they're letting people test it out early. I'm really curious what it's going to be like. And if I can help out by giving my input then that's really cool too. lol

I cant seem to catch registration ...then it occurred to me , potter-more may be working off a different time zone time. So obnoxious of me to assume everyone is running on my time

I GOT INTO Pottermore!!!! It was simply by chance. I just happened to check my Facebook page and two of my friends got in so I went to the site answered the question correct, put in the hrl found the quill and I got in!!!! The funny thins is that I wasn't even trying or worried about it! I was just gonna wait like everyone else.

sorry for the double post but i got a pottermore account! Yay. Well i didnt get it myself. My friend scored one for me. I couldn't seem to catch the reregistration. Yesterday she was asking on her fb if anyone wanted an account, she made two, but i missed replying in time. Her friend responded before i even read the status. But she caught registration today ( she knew the time it was opening up!) and made an account for me.
