If you have; what's it about? What did you call it?

As a personal writer, myself, I like to share my ideas with others.
My book was Kissed. There are 4 spirits, and one Tribe per spirit. Moon Spirit: Tsuki, Earth Spirit: Kaje, Death Spirit: Morte, Sun Spirit: Opilia. Each spirit is for the Holy cause or the Corrupt Cause, Tsuki and Morte are on the Corrupt cause. The story's about a girl who was Kissed by Tsuki (To be Kissed, means you are a chosen warrior for your Tribe), and the Spirit came to her in a dream, telling her she must free her Spirit of the evil clutches of Morte...

And so on and so forth...

I'm a writer too but haven't tried my hand in story writing yet. I actually very much like the idea of your story. As a avid reader, if i saw that in a bookstore i would definitely read it.

Thanks!! Very Happy Too many people don't have faith in me. You should defenetly try writing. To me, it's kinda like a book, but you get to decide the twists and turns of it all, so it's your own little world that you can escape to and construct it.

Gah. Writing a book is so hard!! I'll get ideas for a plot, but then I won't have any characters. Other times I"ll have great characters developing in my head... but no plot!!! Argh. It happens this way all the time. And then I'll feel like I need to put together a playlist to set the mood of a scene, but I'm so bad with bands and stuff that all of my playlists end up having the same songs. Razz

I have so many ideas for stories that it'd take days to get them all written down. Okay, maybe not days, but there are a lot to keep track of. I'm trying to slam out a zombie story (if nothing else, at least make an outline for it). I wouldn't even hope to get any of these published. I just do it because... I can. lol Most of the time I can't even write anything and I spend all my time jotting down notes for when I will actually get to *writing* it. lol It's a lot of work though. I tried to do NaNoWriMo last November and got... 2000 words total. Razz It was an epic fail. Might have been because I had no idea what I wanted to write.

I really wish I'd been encouraged to write creatively when I was younger. I never even considered that I could until just a few years ago when I started to try writing fanfic. All my fics sucked of course, but I think I've gotten better. Razz Anyway, don't let anyone discourage you. If it's what you love, do it!! Write even if what you write is crap. Do it for the practice. Hopefully one day I'll have had enough practice to write something that's good enough to be published. But you really have to love it. That's why so many people fail. They think they can write whatever and get rich. Not the way it works I'm afraid.

I agree Ash. Writing takes real dedication. I used school and life as an excuse not to put the time in. ANd now I literally sit for hours at the hospital and I told myself I'll use that time to start writing again. It hasn't happened really. I did it faithfully for the first week. that was all. I'm using the excuse the hubby had bad days, or I'm sick. But if i can sit here and sit here and use the laptop, then i can sit here and write and that's the honest truth. But i'm not. I hope to get more disciplined. I dont know if i want to write a memoir or poetry book but i know eventually I want to write SOMETHING but i need to get serious about it. ANd i agree. I had support throughout high school, people encouraging me and supporting me and pressuring me. I dont have that now and it's SO easy to not do things because I dont have anyone looking over my shoulder.

Peace love n VA : I do encourage you to write if you want to Smile But the first thing to do - I guess - it's find an idea. Any idea. Just something. You may even begin with a fanfiction on VA, who knows. Wink
I'm actually ... errrm ... quiet young, let's say, but I already began a few different stories. My biggest problem is that I always start full of enthousiasm, but then after a page (or less, sometimes) I stop, saying that I'll continue later. But I don't. And then, when I want to continue the story - like 4 months after having written the beginning - I am not in it anymore. I don't know what to write. And this goes on and on.
There's only one story on which I held on (it's called "Angels" by the way^^) and I think that it's because the first scene which I invented will be situated in more or less the middle of the book, so I automatically created a plot to reach that scene (Yes, I'm weird^^).
So do not hezitate, it ain't a problem if you're sometimes stuck at a moment or if you do not know how to continue your story. It'll come more and more easily the more you write.

Dimkaluv : it depends, I admit that I only write when it's easy for me Razz To me, the big hole is in the characters. I'm really not good at creating them, and even if I succeed in making them a personnality, they aren't enough for the storyline (the thing I'm worst at is ... finding names T.T).
Hehe, I also do have written notes about what I should put in my book, but ... I think I lost it >.>

*Sorry guys if I made some English mistakes - to me, it's a foreign language^^

PS. : Roza H., if you want, you can send me your story, I'd be glad to read it Wink
