| Sorry if there's already a thread about this, but I couldnt find one Just wondering which book(s) was your favourite and why? I think mines a tie between Shadow kiss and Blood promise (although I do love them all ). Shadow kiss because that was when Rose and Dimitri's love reached its ultimate high. And I loved the shock of Dimitri turning into a strigoi and Rose's determination to save him. Blood promise because I loved the final battle scene between Rose and Dimitri on the bridge - I could actually see it in my head as I was reading it! ... and I dont get that very often with novels! And I think just the whole thing about loving someone so much that you cant let them go, but you know you have to do the right thing. That internal torment Rose went through was very powerful to read. I'd love to see Blood promise played out on screen | |

Blood promise because I loved the final battle scene between Rose and Dimitri on the bridge - I could actually see it in my head as I was reading it! ... and I dont get that very often with novels! Exactly why it would be every filmmaker's dream to turn these novels into film! Most of the time they are very graphic, Richelle would have such light work turning her novels into a film script. I have to say my favourite is Shadow Kiss too. Because of the reasons you listed. I just love the way Rose and Dimitri finally get to be together, right at the very end of the novel, right before he is turned into a Strigoi. It is so bitter sweet. I think I have to say Last Sacrifice too, just because there's so much Dimitri in it And I'm talking Dhampir Dimitri, a private Dimitri, not just Belikov - the mentor. I still catch my breath every time I read the part where they have finally been together in that hotel room and Rose finds he's staring at her getting out of bed. She's surprised he's not turned back to his neutral guardian mode; for the first time she can see all that passion and lust in his gaze and asks him if he sees anything he likes. Oh man, that IS Dimitri with his guard let down. Hot, hot hot hot!

| Shadow Kiss is my favourite. I could not put that book down. Its the only book I've ever read in a day thats not HP. It wa sad but great to have such a cliffhanger ending.
Just finished re-reading the first one. Loved reading Roza and Dimitri fall in love. I could totally see how Rose had grown up. (something I didn't see in Bella reading Twilight for the second time)
Waiting for it to turn into a movie is so annoying.

| My favorite is Spirit Bound, because there's that spark of hope when Lissa saves Dimka. I haven't read the last sacrafice yet, but I know it'll be so much better than the last. These books have that effect on me. I totally agree with Bella not really growing up (I read the series 6 times, pathetic, I know.). But she really wasn't in the same situation that Rose is in. I mean, Bella never lived a party girl life, and she was always modest. Rose had room to grow up, where as Bella didn't. Bella really didn't grow out of being a mite selfish, though... | |
