What can you tell us about Spirit Bound?
Spirit Bound takes place almost entirely outside of the school that gives the series its name, so that’s kind of ironic and funny. The characters are sort of on their own now, so we get to see what they do when they’re not within the confines of teachers and school rules. It’s less of a tearjerker; the other ones had these big sudden shockers that tended to leave people crying, so I would get email for weeks after the books came out that with people telling me how I left them sobbing. I don’t think there will be quite as much as that, but I can’t always tell that. This is going to be more twists in the story of the ‘Oh my God’ variety. People will still be surprised, and there’s still a cliffhanger, buy I think it will be less emotionally traumatic.

Great interview!! It's always awesome to read these things. I'm always hoping that she'll say something I don't already know though.

Ehh... not loving that Rose or Lissa in the trailer. Dimitri looks... great!!!!
Is it me or does Rose look sorta like a brunette Sara Paxton?

I know my first thoughts on the trailer were Damn Dimitri is HOT! Then I watched it again and studied Rose and Lissa and was like UGH NO-esp Lissa. Sure they ahve the same color hair and eyes I assume but they do NOT pull Lissa and Rose's look off at all imo. But yeah that brunette does kinda look like Sara Paxton.


I'm glad about SB supposed to not be as emotional. I guess all that will come in LS. but I really don't like the whole twist and cliffhanger part. To have a cliffhanger and then wait another 7 months to read LS. Thats just not fair lol

I haven't read the interview yet, I was more interested in the clip. But I was under the impression it wasn't a clip about Spirit Bound, just that it was created for the release of SB....It's just a clip promoting VA in general.

I liked it well enough...but the actors aren't exactly how I'd picture them. And it starts up that whole "Oh they're not right" argument in my head which I know would happen if there was an actual movie, which isn't too fun.
It didn't really say much about the series though. If I hadn't known who the characters were that popped up and the story already I think I'd be utterly confused watching the clip.

I actually think the Rose is okay and the Dimitri works but the Lissa is to short and she is curvy which Lissa is not. But hey it's just a trailer for the books!

I forgot Lissa was supposed to be taller. I always imagine her short because she can't defend herself very well, lol.

lol, It makes more sense to me that way. Guardians should be taller if they're trying to protect the stupid moroi!

I keep picturing her shorter too. Isn't she supposed to be a little taller than Rose? But yeah it would amke more sense for the guardians to be taller but they at least they are more built than the Moroi. The Moroi are just tall and slim with the exception of Adrian. Doesn't it say in FB that he's more muscular than most Moroi?

And Tasha, don't worry I always get that look when I actually LOL when the hubby is around lol
