I have to say, Dimitri is probably my favourite male character and I have a feeling he will stay so for some time

They's defently find a way to make it work, now matter who they got for Dimka. I bet they wouldn't even look at height, go for more of how he looks and if he can act and embody the character

After LS, it just has to be Ben Barnes, or some random new guy that auditioned. The love parts with Rose, I could just see him there (kind of).

They have to get all the characters right or at least close, but its Rose and Dimka that are very important. Thats like if they casted the wrong Jace in city of bones ... I fear for them if they do

Absolutely and that's why it would be best if they cast completely unknown actors for Rose and Dimitri (if not Ben ). That way we will all get a "clean slate" - they won't be associated with any other parts they've played.
The worst thing they could do is to cast someone who is very much associated with a specific character, like Nina Dobrev-Elena/Katherine.

they should not cast anyone who is well known ... besides Ben Barnes .. though many might see him as souly prince Caspain.. outside of VA fans

Ben Barnes will be Dimitri, or it'll go to a guy that'll become a new actor. Someone new, fresh, different, but most likely it will go to Ben

Hopefully the casting directors are paying attention to whom we would like as the characters or find some one that is just as fitting

I hope so too! In that interview with Ben, the reporter asked him if he was interested in playing Dimitri. Ben had never heard about the VA-books, but it sure sounded like he was intrigued. He even went as far as to exclaim: "Dimitri!" (In a Russian accent of course, lol!)

Love the British accent! Keep it up

I think I must be almost the only VA fan that doesnt know anything about this Ben Barnes dude... other than his appearance anyway.

I'm interested to see if Richelle has any actors in mind for the leads... I'm still leaning towards unknowns though.

At the end of the day, as long as they can act and really 'own' the characters, I dont mind who gets it

Oh, you have to see him in Dorian Gray!!! And he actually can get the Russian accent down - he played a Russian guy in Bigga Than Ben Actually, he is a very good impersonator, I think he can get any accent down. He sure does a brilliant Spanish accent in Caspian. He also has a wonderful singing voice! I*m dying to see him in Killing Bono where he does a lot of singing.

All I have to say is YOU HAVE TO GOOGLE HIM!! Watch him as Prince Caspian as well, in Narnia.
