Hello everyone. *waves madly*

Fellow bookworm here whose had this series on my bookshelf for a while, but only had the time to pick up #1 last weekend. I just finished the fourth last night. Ended up I couldn't put these books down, it was painful -- thank goodness for the holidays giving spare time to read!

Richelle Mead is evil! My eyes hurt!!! Seriously though, I was delightfully surprised with her writing skills and creativity -- I was a bit fearful at first that this was tugging at Harry Potter, but changed my mind quickly. This series definitely gives 'Twilight' a run for it's money, and knocks 'Vampire Diaries' out of the water, IMHO. Her characters are bursting with life, Christian and Adrian I adore, but I've come to love each character for their own reasons. Dimitri... for obvious reasons... as Rose says; 'Who couldn't love Dimitri?"

I'm lucky to have found this so late in the game having four books to read all at once, but now along with you I'm aching for May... Think I'll start reading from the beginning again.

I woke up this morning thinking about this site. I don't know anyone else my age whose read these books, so it's nice this forum exists. My thanks to the admin for creating Shadow Bite (since it is thanksgiving weekend - here in the US anyway) Like a Star @ heaven

I am 100% sure that VA is WAAAAAAAAAY BETTER than Twilight (no offense to Stephenie Meyer <3) I am not so sure however that VA has trumped my favorite book The Den of Shadows by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes.
