| This is for those of us who have read both the Pendragon novels, and Vampire Academy, seeing as how the only one from any other series of the decade who could even be worthy enough to challenge Vo Spader, the Traveler of Cloral, of the Pendragon novels, in my mind, would be Vampire Prince Adrian Ivashkov of the Vampire Academy novels, since even the two of them have genuine mental screw-up moments, and both of them can ressurect possible friends and allies from the dead! The big differences between the ranges and side-effects of such powers, would be as follows:
Spader's capabilities:While they're very mid-range, as far as taking care of fellow Travelers are concerned, compared to the extent of the Spirit Element, that power is of a far too-short range, at best!To make up for that, If a Traveler like Spader Ressurects a fellow traveler, he won't suffer the effects of being a mental screw-up, or have it multiplied on him, at least!
Adrian's capabilities:Adrian's Spirit Element must have somehow amplified his potential for being a mental screw-up, yet to make up for that, Spirit-wielders share the advantages of Morpheus, the Olympian God of Dreams, and whatever kindred with mortal blood Morpheus is meant to have, for that matter, as they can visit your dreams, somehow, and do more than just that, even, as far as dreams are concerned! The Resurrection Powers are even more long-ranged than that of a Traveler's, to boot, since spirit-wielders can heal or Ressurect more than just fellow Vampiric kindred, but also other species, altogether, even!Spirit has its down-sides, as no one is safe from the harmful consequences of Spirit-Wielding, which may help to explain why Adrian smokes so much!
