| I decided to try to see if i could set up a Poll for the demi-goddess and the water-wielding Moroi, respectively, but for now, i had to start the thread for it.
Please elaborate on which sides, and why, alright? | |

No, she is the demi-goddess in the Persy Jackson and the Olympians series... Right? I voted Clarisse because her electric stick and seriously bad attitude makes her pretty much built for the fight. Plus, her dad is the God of war... | |

I voted Clarisse because her electric spear and seriously bad attitude makes her pretty much built for the fight. Plus, her dad is the God of war... Exactly right, Clarisse La Rue is the Demi-Goddess of War from the Percy Jackson And The Olympians novels, and Water conducts electricity, which Clarisse would do well to keep her distance in order to take full advantage of that fact, right there! There's also the apparent case of Mia Rinaldi lacking Perseus's Big 3 Demi-God strengths, since last time i checked, Rose is capable of beating Mia up, if Mia doesn't stick with her element, but then again, that has alot to do with the fact she isn't well-trained to fight without her magic, so unless she trains extensively, she would have to find a place in which she would have an edge over Clarisse, just to have a fighting chance! At least without water, in the earlier novels, Perseus and Clarisse could fight each other to a stand-still...That's apparently not the case when it came to Mia and Rose, on the other hand, isn't it? Then again, in the second novels for their respective worlds, they did save their respective future allies, mostly in unexpected ways, and it was a start to their respective paths to redemption, or at least paths to Bad-@ssery, after the events of the 2nd novels for both their worlds![The Sea Of Monsters and Frost-Bite, respectively!] The big difference between the two, on the other hand, is that Clarisse's Errors in the first novel she gets introduced weren't so severe, that one of her relatives by blood had to get the Axe[instead, we hear she is terrified of her Olympian father, Ares, and can you blame her for that?] Mia Rinaldi's errors, on the other hand, were so severe, that her mother had to die, for Mia to develop correctly! | |

| Oh i have not read the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series so i can't vote.
But in Mia's defense - she IS training with Guardians @ court to learn to physically fight and she is training to use defensive magic and offensive magic. So maybe in future books she will be kick ass- u know what i mean? I don't discredit her for not "growing up" or maturing faster. Because in Moroi culture- they don't really have to. It's a whole political mess you know? Her mom dying was the realistic push to force her to accept that her culture is flawed and she needs to do what she has to do. We are all forced to grow up and mature in different ways. For me, it was my parents getting older and sick. So- that was realistic to me and i don't discredit that at all but i understand, to some people Mia should have just "grow up" on her and not wait for some tragedy to occur. But like i said, we all are forced to grow up in someway or another- sometimes sooner than our time. | |

| I suppose the two of you girls have a point.After all, in the 5th novel, not only was she capable of eating Armies of Olympian monsters alive, on her own, but something happened that ended up getting her to trigger something along the lines of the Bio-Sensor shown in Zeta Gundam and the Trans-Am system of Gundam 00, as she proved she didn't walk the Path of Bad-@ssery for nothing![Unless you plan to make a spoiler tag, please don't mention exactly what gave Clarisse the final push, as it would spoil The Last Olympian, outright, if you do!]
I guess i'm just waiting for the same sort of thing to happen to Mia, already, though i'm hearing positive things from people who read Shadow Kiss..i wonder how long will it last?
Is there someone along the lines of Clarisse La Rue/Mia Rinaldi in The Mortal Instruments, who realizes that she could either take the path of redemption and Bad-@ssery, or be cannon-fodder and die?Somehow, i have begun to think there might be someone like those two, and if so, please let her be saner than Clarisse and less...whorish than Mia, the first time we hear about her! | |

| Now if only we could find a group of Martyrs along the lines of Celestial Being somewhere within The Mortal Instruments/Percy Jackson And The Olympians/Vampire Academy, and then we'd have the Gundam 00 of literature, right there!
That said, Rose Hathaway has alot in common with Marina Ishmael's bodyguard, since both of them are supposed to be of Middle-Eastern Roots, to begin with! | |
