Well Here's a long list of Questions asked and answered tonight there are a few non relevent that were cut. I paraphrased her answers a bit but yeah.
Q Do you have a title for book six yet?
A No that’s a dreadful process there is a lot of back and forth suggestions with my editors. Not looking forward to that.
Q Will we be seeing more of Eddie?
A Eddie teams up with the others in SB and gets into a lot of illegal mischief it’s going to be fun.
Q Do you ever root for the bad boys in your series’ ? Adrian, Roman etc.
A. I do have one in each of my series’ don’t I ? I’m seeing a pattern. When I begin writing a series I already have my ending picked out who’s going to end up with who and I don’t change that. I will say In some of my series the main character ends up with the good guy and some I won’t say which end up with the not so good guy.
Q Do you hate Maddie?
A That’s a good question no I don’t hat maddie. Some fans seem to dislike her and others see her as an innocent victim?
Q How do you come up with the couples in your love stories?
A I knew from the beginning that Rose was going to fall in love with an older man her instructor, since Rose was very young and impulsive dimitri is older and more calm they balance each other out.
A there’s a character in one of my series where I’m really trying to remember why I like him so much and wonder why he’s supposed to end up with the girl. ( I think she was referring to Seth)
Q What’s you fav. Series?
A Georgina Kincaide because that was my first and we’re closer in age we think a lot a like so it’s easier to write, where as with roses character I have to continue to remind myself shes eighteen.
Q who’s your fav character from georgina kincaide?
A. I like them all, Carter is fun to write because he an angel who smokes and drinks and dresses grunge so he doesn’t come off as all that good.
Q Are you going to write more VA books?
A Yes I’m going to do a spin off series Roses story is coming to an end soon. The spin off will be about characters you’ve already met. I don’t like creating new characters for spin offs. I can’t say which characters because that would give away the next two books of who lives or dies or ends up together.
Q Will you do a book a la Dimitri’s point of view?
A No because I need to be done with this story I need to get away from this plot and create a new plot with other characters.,
Q How often do you write?
A well now that I’ve made a name for myself I stay pretty busy I have to send in drafts of my book every three months.
Q what’s your writing style like now that it has evolved?
A Well I think of a story plot and an ending. I know how the series is going to end and I know how each book will end then I begin writing and coming up with my subplots as I go.
Q Do you read any other vampire novels? Twilight, etc.?
A No, I’m pretty over vampired out. After writing and thinking about Vampires all the time I really don’t want to read about them.
Q Where did you come up with the idea to write a vampires series?
A My publicists asked how I felt about a teen vampire book so I figured I had some free time and began looking into the Romanian vampires and began writing about them. I really don’t know what a lot of the terms are or how their pronounced in the books. I have a friend who speaks Russian who helps me out a lot.
Q Are you going to make a movie?
A NO there’s no movies being made we are looking into selling the movie writes. It’s funny to see trailers that fans have spent a lot of time and work on all over you tube. Sometimes I have to ask myself if there’s something going on that I don’t know about cuz surely I would know if I sold the rights. There is a poster for a VA movie featuring Sophia bush and ben barnes that’s I really like I think it says Paramounts it was pretty convincing and I had people calling to congratulate me on wrapping up the production of the movie and I’m just like what? I have a lot of talented fans.
Q Where do you come up with the cover?
A Actually I have no control over that in fact I was contacted by the model for Rose, which well doesn’t look like rose but that’s who they put on the cover. She didn’t even know about it, she just walked into a book store and saw her face on a best selling book so now she comes in for photo shoots for the covers, we have stock pile pictures that are used by the designers for the book. I will say Sb will be featuring a certain guy and I’m really excited for the cover ( Dimitri).
Q How Many book are in the dark swan?
A 4
Q. Will you ever co author a book with someone else.
A No absolutely not I’ve heard horror stories and I prefer to work alone.
Q Have you always wanted to be a writer and what was the first thing you ever wrote?
A I used to try an write a lot in high school and college but never got very far I always lost interest. The first book I ever wrote was sci-fi it was a learning experience and didn’t mount to much. As I got older I got more discipline and began writing my Georgina Kincaide series and each book I write keeps getting better.
There were a lot of other stupid Q’s that were a waste of time Sm this and Sm that it was seriously annoying and a waste of time and questions.
Q Do you know Stephanie meyer?
A No but funny story when my boyfriend first met me he told his family he was seeing an author that wrote a teen vampire series and they all hoped it was Stephanie meyer thinking he hit the jackpot but that they just had to settle for me which I guess wasn’t too bad. ( She made her self feel less significant personally I think she is a trade up from Sm)
Q Do you read SM books?
A No actually I’m glad because if I had read her books it would have felt intimidating to compete and I probably would never have wrote VA.
Q If you ever meet Stephanie Meyer will you tell her to write more like Midnight Sun?
A Wow this side of the room is obsessed with Stephanie Meyer!
P.S. the Va academy spin off series will most likely be written in third person because she want's to tell multiple sides of the story.
