BREAKING NEWS!!!!

It must be so hard for her to have to travel all over the country in just a few days. And then she'll be going to Australia for a few weeks. She's even doing two big cities in one day!! She's coming to Houston on the 29th, and on the same day she'll be doing Austin... She'd probably have to catch a plane in the afternoon to be able to get to Austin in time for her bookstore appearance. I guess I'm just worried she'll be out of it by the time she gets to Houston. lol Traveling is quite exhausting.

Yeah... still nine days left to go. That's IF I can find it the day it comes out. I think I'll cry if I can't. It's been seven loooooonnnng months waiting for this book.

You're best bet dimkaluv is to call up the store the day of the release and ask if they have it in. If they do, then have them put aside a copy for you.

I was gonna go this week to see if I could preorder a copy. I really hope they'll have it in that day. If not.... I'll have to check Walmart I guess. That's where this obsession began anyway. lol

You can still pre-order, Dimkaluv. In know because I checked when I was at the book store the day before I got my copy. Its way more expensive now than it was when I pre-ordered in January. Then it was only, like $11, now its $21. Maybe when I pre-ordered they didn't know that they were making it hard cover yet.

I'm not too worried about the cost. I'm more worried about the bookstore not having the book on the 25th. lolz I'm worried that they won't know what I'm talking about when I ask them about preordering it. It's totally irrational paranoia. lolz Chalk it down to having to wait. So close and yet so far.

I know how it feels. Before I got my copy, I wass like, its so soon, but the days dragged on way too long.

Its nice at chapters, in canada, they have computer kiosks that you can go to to find out if they have a book in store, or to pre-order ones that haven't come out yet, or aren't in stock. I wouldn't want to have to stand at the cash register and ask to pre-order either. That'd be so embarrassing. Especially if you could'nt pre-order.

I know. lolz I'm all anxious about it. I'm gonna try to go in the morning so that there won't be a buttload of people. Hopefully. I don't want to look like a complete moron.

Another good thing about Chapters is that you can search for a title at home. E.g. Vampire Academy. And in a little box or separate window you can put in your postal code and they will list the stores closest to you and show you how many copies they have! It's a real time saver!

I didn't think about pre-ordering way back. I should have done! But that I got the discount I'm OK with that.

Sadly I can't find an option like that on my bookstore's website...

it makes soo much more sence to pre-order it. i mean who here seriously wants to risk it not being there when we go to get it? i just have to hope my bookstore has it on the 25th. cant wait any longer! and for those of you in canada, i completly envy you. so wish we had all gotten it this early.

I know. I pre-ordered it in January. If I hadn't, I would've had to wait until the 25th like everyone else! I would've gone nuts, only to find out that it was released early, and it might've been sold out by the time I got there. That would've sucked. Its a good idea to pre-order now, anyways, Dimkaluv. Its your best option, embarrassing, though it is.

Haha yeah. I'm about to go right now *woke up late*. Hopefully I won't make a huge idiot of myself.

Edit: Okay, so they took my name. I know they have it at the store already, but they won't be selling it until next week. At least I know they'll have it, so I'm kinda glad. Even if I do have to wait a few more days. Plus I got a bag of coffee candy so my day is pretty good now. lolz

I can't wait any longer. It's driving me crazy. I just saw on another site that was selling the first three as a set for $9.95 I paid like 20 a piece for all mine thus far. I'm excited to read it but at the same time I'm afraid. I don't want to read it in one night and be left waiting for SB forever but I know I won't be able to put it down. RM is coming to Boulder 3 days after the release date and I want to be finished by then so I can ask her my questions. So even If I wanted to space it out I guess I really couldn't.

I was able to space it out over 3 days. LOL! I wasn't able to read constantly, I had RL stuff to do, unfortunately.

well then I'm looking forward to three wonderful days!!

It only took me 1 day. I guess if you really try to spread it out, then it would last approximately 3, when you finally snapped, and read at the speed of light.

figured id point out that RM is going to canada, it said so on her site.
also it is so imbosible to spread out her books. i think i tried once. i always make my self sleep deprived staying up all nyt to finish the books. u jst cant put them down. ive gotta hope im not working the morning after i get it. also i heard today. i have 2 wait till the 31st of august to get it. even though i pre-ordered it and it is realeased on the 25th. like what the! so unfair. i think i envy you lucky canadians even more now. =[

Like I said, I didn't have the luxury of staying up all day and night to read the book. And plus, it's better to read at a moderate pace so you can savour it. Just like Georgina in Succubus. Granted, I don't take it to her extreme of only reading 5 pages a day, but when you rush through, there's no real satisfaction in that.

I saw the Canadian dates on RM's schedule. That doesn't help me any. I'm on the other side (almost) of the country from Vancouver. Toronto's a big city. Bigger (and better ) than Vancouver! She should come here!

oh i agree it really is much better to read it in moderation. i always try but dnt make it. unfortunitly i dnt have t2 work full time or skool. so i can do it. id much rather i had sumfing 2 prevent it. bcoz once ur fishished its like ahh its over already. lol. and no1 could go to georgies exreme. id go insane

It is a bit sad when you come to the end of a book you're really enjoying. It's like having to say goodbye to a friend. It's even worse when it's the end of a series. You see, with VA, the end of BP is more like, "Til next time! See ya later!" but when the series is finished, then it's goodbye.

Well... at least until the spin off series comes out.... lol I doubt any spin off of VA would be as good as VA though. I'll be sad to see Rose go.

there's a possibility characters from VA would appear in the Spin Off, they just wouldn't be the main focus of it.

That would not only allow us to see guardians in actions (or not action depending on how dull the day is...haha) but be a male protagonist too! haha
