| Has anyone read the The Morganville Vampire Series by Rachel Caine?
Can someone please post a quick summary with not that many spoilers?
The thing is I'm about to start reading these books and well I'm confused because when I read the summary on the internet, they are completely different with different characters.

| I have read the first book of the series. It was a bit different because the vampire books I've been reading are where you're on the side of the vampires. In these books, the vampires are the bad guys.
I couldn't really tell you too much more because it would be a spoiler, that and I've only read the first book so far.

| I just finished the 7th book of the series! Now I'll be waiting for the 8th book due out in April.
April (or the spring) seems to be a prime time for book releases! Anyone else read all the books?

| Oh no! The series is NOT finished! If you go to Rachel Caine's website, she has a listing AND an excerpt of the 8th book called "Kiss of Death". http://www.rachelcaine.com/page1/page10/page10.htmlI wonder though, how much longer she'll keep that series going. So tell me, what books have you liked the most so far? I really liked the last two: Carpe Corpus and Fade Out. Lord of Misrule was good, too. The weakest book had to be "Feast of Fools". I just felt that there wasn't that much action in it until the last couple of chapters. Up until then it was like, "Ho-hum...chatter...ho-hum." Then the last couple of chapters when it became a physical fight, then it got GOOD! I was glad I had purchased FoF, LoM and CC at one shot so I didn't have to keep going back to the store. Who are your favourite characters? I know he's not fully trustworthy, but I like Myrnin. He makes me laugh, actually. I love his whacked out clothes and some of his antiquated ideas. I also like Gramma Day (what the heck happened to her the last couple of books?). And I also like the new Police Chief, Hannah. Do you think that we've seen the last of Kim What's-her-face? The one who was making the videos? I personally don't. I think that beyotch will be back to cause more trouble for Claire, Shane, Eve and Michael. (As well as the rest of the town). | |

I can't remember which one (because I read them rather sporadically) it is, but I adored the one where Shane (finally) realized her loved Claire and they hooked up. What can I say, I'm a sucker for romance. Especially one that is sooo meant to be. LOVE Myrnin. I think the fact that he is relatively untrustworthy and potentially dangerous is one of the main reasons I like him. I just like the unpredictable characters. I absolutely adore the way RC writes her characters. She gives them great senses of humor. Plus, I don't think I can recall a weak or flat character. I can't stand authors who write those. *shudders* As much as I'd love to say "yes. We've seen the last of that sick, voyeuristic weirdo, I can't help but wonder if she's going to become more major. I really don't want her to, but I also don't want her to just fade and be forgotten, because that implies that she was only good for one book. Which I hate.

| I also liked the book where Shane admitted that he loved Claire. That's great.
I really can't wait until the next book!! I wonder what new adventures will be happening.

I really can't wait until the next book!! I wonder what new adventures will be happening. Me neither! I've actually started writing Fan-fiction for the MV series, simply because I miss it. I tend to do that when I'm stuck waiting for another installment of a really good series to come out (i.e VA), though I usually end up abandoning it when the book comes out.
