Tamora Piecre

I adore Tamora Pierce books. She's one of my favourite authors ever. I love how she has the ability to create a world and then use it in some many different ways. She doesn't just stick to the one theme and ride it through until the end. Within the Tortal realm you have knights, magic, spies, law enforcement and each series has it's own voice. While the Emelan world is full of the uses and abuses of magic.
It's so much fun.
