| Nope no casting news so far.
I've said it before and I'll say it again I am 100% against Ben as Dimitri. Sure he's hot and he did a good job in the only movie I've seen him in (Chronicles of Narnia Prince Caspian) but imo he is not Dimitri.
And I agree with Dimkaluv about that Rupert guy. My first thought was he is an ugly version of Orlando Bloom. I am not kidding. I also agree that they should cast unknowns. So far I have been against everyone that has been suggested. I know they can't please everyone but I think they will have a better shot at please the majority of the fans but casting unknows for the reason Dimkaluv said. | |

It's actually pissing me off quite a lot, to be honest. Mainly because it truly has ruined my image of Dimitri already and I'm starting to dislike him. :/

| So i wonder if they should get someone with an above-average I.Q to play someone like either Sydney or the likes of Jill? lol JK. I don't get it either. I do not think Dimitri at all when I see Barnes.

And whenever I see someone suggested I try and imagine them in a scene of the book, so being that Ben Barnes is repeatedly picked, it's all I see. D:
Haven't seen much of Henry Cavill though, but I think he is no doubt a better choice than Ben Barnes.
I wish Richelle would choose the cast because instead of ruining it, I believe it would only improve our images.

| I'm definitely with you guys on the Ben Barnes front. A most definite NO! So many people want him as Dimka, and so when ever I think of Dimka, he's all I see now, and he's girly, and wimpish. No offence to anyone, but his acting in the one movie I have seen (CoN Prince Caspian) was terrible, imo, and we need someone MANLY, and GODLIKE to play him, which Ben is most definitely NOT! | |

Either Wisdom or a guy who actually studied the Russian Martial Art of Systema, which the Russian Spetznaz had been trained with.

| Well, if they're gonna go ahead and make a movie... I can picture Jeanine Mason as Rose. I was watching Big Time Rush (yes. BTR with my brother! He's five!) and the girl who played a vampire slayer looked scarily acurate to how I always pictured Rose. She even had a stake in her hand! Jeanine was on SYTYCD, and she's been dancing for a while. | eh I'm gonna have to go with the negative on Jeanine as Rose. Sorry
So far there has only been 1 person that has come close to my vision of Rose and I'm sure everyone will probably disagree but that's Lyndsy Fonseca from nikita. I know a lot of people suggest her to play Katniss in THG movie. But she's a pretty good actress and she has the looks of Rose except she would have to wear contacts and maybe dye her hair a little darker. I think she could pull off Rose's personality and badassness and do all the physical stuff.
Oh and Henry Cavill isn't a bad choice for Dimitri. Not exactly how I picture him but way better than Ben Barnes and all the other guys people suggest. | |

I have to agree with you on her not being Rose.
But it's actually because she doesn't seem like a good enough actress according to the movies I've seen her in.
I'd have to go with Camilla Belle, if anybody. She's good at acting and she seems to have Rose's appearance. | |
